Our Mission
The Khaled Hosseini Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, provides humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan. The Foundation supports projects which provide shelter to refugee families and economic and education opportunities and healthcare for women and children. In addition, the Foundation awards scholarships to women pursuing higher education in Afghanistan.
The Khaled Hosseini Foundation Announces Free Curriculum and Educational Resources. Student Outreach for Shelters (SOS) empowers students to enrich their studies and build life-
saving shelters in Afghanistan.
• $56 provides shelter tool kits for four families.
• $103 provides necessary building materials for one shelter.
• $338 provides doors and windows for one shelter.
• $1500 builds one shelter to house 6 people.
